BOM template fields
- Line, reference designator, description and manufacturer
- Part number, quantity/unit, build quantity and total quantity

Cross-reference method
Compare function, absolute limits, operating range, pinout, package, qualification, firmware impact and lifecycle. Similar descriptions do not prove interchangeability.
Lifecycle review
Record source URL, document date, status, PCN/EOL identifiers, last-order dates and validation owner.
Automotive review
Check exact-device AEC status, temperature grade, quality documents, interface requirements and customer-specific approval.
